We are the Granger Band:
The Sound of Champions
The LaGrange High School Band represents it's high school in its namesake city of LaGrange, Georgia. LaGrange High School is a 9-12 public high school located in the city of LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia, sixty miles southwest of Atlanta on Interstate 85. LaGrange was named for the estate of French and American hero General Marquis de Lafayette, whose extensive travels brought him through this lovely, west Georgia area.
Founded in 1903 the mascot of the school is "The Grangers." Delcaring this oftens leads people to ask, "What is a Granger?"
The answer is simple, A Granger is a Champion!
On the field, in the classroom, and in life; our students are champions. Leadership, Honor, and Service...these are the cornerstone of the Granger Tradition. A tradition carried on by the students who represent LaGrange.
Our Official Fight Song is entitled "The Music of Champions" (which is an original written by an LHS Student John J. Johnson) and therefore band that plays this signature is THE SOUND OF CHAMPIONS!
