The LaGrange High School Band Boosters is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting the members of the LaGrange High School Band in their pursuit of musical excellence. We believe our youth achieve their goals of higher education and leadership as a result of the support they receive from parents, friends and the community at large. The recent educational budget cuts, combined with current economic conditions, have challenged our ability to offer our children the priceless education that has propelled our school’s band programs to prominence in recent years. To this regard, we ask that you consider becoming a Corporate Sponsor.

MUSIC EDUCATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Studies show that music education is effective in increasing learning development, which ultimately leads to success in school, society and in life. We have many examples of amazing student success stories within our program, which lends support to these studies. Our kids often receive scholarships to prestigious universities and are offered positions in well-established firms. To a very large extent, each of them attributes much of this success to the skills and discipline they have learned in the music programs in our school.

Many of our graduates go on to excel in college and the corporate environments because of the required commitment and dedication of belonging to a quality band program. When these traits are added to the community service involvement stressed at LHS, it is easy to see why these students have so much leadership potential in their future. In fact, it has been shown that the most effective leaders, no matter the venue, were musicians. If the musical education they received played such a vital role, then we cannot afford to let the programs in our schools wane because of lack of funding.
